Re: Pro tools 2019 !

Honestly, though, is a bit embarrassing this was not yet there. When I started using PT 1.5 months ago...I was shocked.
So, maintaining a lower profile on such features...could be a better choice.

That is your opinion, mine is different (although you stated it like mine was a certain mistake).

In my opinion for instance pro tools and reaper has got the worst comping function out of all daws...

Re: A PCU test: PT Vs Reaper with pretty incredible result

I must have put it here by mistake...this is really not the place.

About my specs: I'm on MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018) 2,9 GHz Intel Core i9, 32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4.

Being a new user I am running...

Re: A PCU test: PT Vs Reaper with pretty incredible result

That might be very well true. Got a lot of complains about the heating, and I most likely going towards that direction. Although, I have to say that my comparison was on the same...laptop. ...

Re: A PCU test: PT Vs Reaper with pretty incredible result

When you say your computer “has a lot of headroom” what do you exactly mean.
I have Mac book pro 2018 expanded at the top, do you think that PT works better with older computers?

Thank you for...

Re: A PCU test: PT Vs Reaper with pretty incredible result

And are you able to open a decent amount of tracks and plugin to mix?
And why you do? Cannot find anything else that fits you?

As long as I like it I really don’t think I can manage it with this...

Re: A PCU test: PT Vs Reaper with pretty incredible result

So, 250 users looked at this and had nothing to say.

Now I don't know what to think, whether you guys don't have this problem, you don't feel it or what.

I'm currently working on a song with...

And so Dean, do you use Pro Tools at all or Reaper.
And how do you manage to have a decent amount of plug in the session?

Re: A PCU test: PT Vs Reaper with pretty incredible result

Roughly thinking about my test my computer is performing with PT 20% of the power it does with Reaper. By feel, I would say that Studio 1 stands close to reaper and so does logic.
Now, besides the...

Re: A PCU test: PT Vs Reaper with pretty incredible result

I do hope when they say, about the 2019, they will rewrite playback engine, this implies also filling the gap of a such a poor performance!
But, I have to say, having brought the most famous and...

Re: Questions about comping in PT

I think this is getting clearer. What about this, you recorded a lot on 1 chorus and after created the main playlist, you can create a target playlist, sort of alternate version, that you can move to...

I think here there is a bit of confusion with the comp made of waveform view and the target and main playlist. As far as I understand they are two completely different issues.

I don't see many...
