I'm having the same issue to. Recording and Exporting Audio with Mbox 2 and Cubase 5.5.2 is fine but playback is distorted at every buffer size. Protools works fine, though. Did you...

i don't think it's plugins because it seems to only happen on recording and playback without plugins and i only have the digidesign ones that came with it. I think its just the hard drive
