Once you're in Rewire with Live, you can't select an audio driver, therefore you can't select Soundflower.

But anyway, with MaxMSP, you just have to use Rewire.

7.4.2 doesn't work with Tiger, it's a Leopard-release only. 7.4 is the Tiger version.

Yes, you can install 7.4.2 on your Leopard partition and upgrade to 8 when it's out.

I'm running 10.5.5 with 7.4.2 and everything's fine. Also, the Digi guy said that everything that's runnin' with 7.4.2 will work with 8.

Maxim is quite mediocre and outdated. If you want a very good limiter for cheap, check out Massey L2007. I have the L2 and I don't use it anymore. BTW, you may want to check out Massey other plugins...

I may look like a stubborn a..hole but my point was that although Waveburner is far from Peak as an audio editor, Logic Studio includes SoundtrackPro which is a really good audio editor even if lots...

You can't use the plugins or virtual synths within ProTools. Only thing you can do is using the 003 as an audio interface. And not all plugins are available with Waveburner. But it's still pretty...

Altough I don't use every plugin, the Noise Reduction (Sound Soap Pro) and the meters (Reveal) are very useful. Peak is a good addition to any audio software arsenal and at that price, I'd buy it.

I'm surprised nobody talked about Massey Tape-Head yet. You have to be gentle with it because it's not very subtle if you drive it but I really like the result with low settings on the master bus....

HUI automation bug

I'm using Pro Tools 7.4cs2 with an HUI controller. When I record some volume automation with the faders, the panning on other tracks change. Anybody have some clues about that bug?

Forget about it. You CAN'T use any other hardware than Digi. (Or M-Audio but you'll need PT M-Powered)
