Re: Focusrite 2i2 dropouts when track is armed

It is compatible, it’s just not officially tested/supported. Sometimes you gotta work with what you got.

Re: Focusrite 2i2 dropouts when track is armed

Okay, I also tried flashing the BIOS, disabled "USB selective suspend", tried all the USB ports (two are USB 3.0, one is USB 2.0), run as administrator, Windows 7 compatibility mode, uninstall...

Re: Focusrite 2i2 dropouts when track is armed

Well, that's just officially tested and supported - it obviously worked before so I can make it work again. I just haven't figured out which thing I need to poke to make it happen...

Focusrite 2i2 dropouts when track is armed

I've been using PT10 with my Focusrite 2i2 on my Dell laptop running Windows 10 for ages, and it all worked great.

Got a new laptop (MSI GL72) and now when I arm a track, there are short dropouts...

Re: More info on explosion sound w-audio

Doesn't appear to be a new thing. Here's a thread from 2003 with the same symptoms: http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=84553 ... there's another from 2002. Blaming BombFactory and Waves plugins,...

Re: More info on explosion sound w-audio

I do have Avox DUO installed, I think. I'll try removing it. I actually took a video of it happening the other day, shortly after it totally wrecked my ears!

Re: More info on explosion sound w-audio

I've been getting that exact same noise over the past few weeks, on a new PT10 install on Windows 7. Nearly killed me and my drummer when we were tracking drums. I'm afraid to have anyone else come...

Re: Has anyone tried installing PT 9 on Win XP?

Running PT9 in XP on my laptop and main rig, mainly because I don't have Windows 7 yet. So far, so good.

Re: Installing on XP

Oh, I put PT9 on my main rig tonight, which is also XP - I'll install Windows 7 when I get it. But for now, we'll see how it goes.

Re: Installing on XP

Well, it's only been out for less than a day so I don't know how well it's gonna work out on XP yet :)

So far, it seems okay.

Re: PT8 and PT9, one ilok?

I had to surrender my PT8 licence when crossgrading to PT9. Don't know about buying the full product - you'd imagine you could have both though.

Re: PT9 HD - Can anyone confirm Auth/Ilok PT8 license?

I had to surrender my PT8 licence when I crossgraded to PT9.

I assume if you buy the full version you can keep both... ? Assumption is the mother of all f*ckups though!

Cool Installing on XP

Hi guys,

I just installed PT9 on my old Dell Inspiron 1501 - it has a SMART hard disk error which prevents Windows 7 from installing so I'm stuck with XP until I can replace the disk. It's also a...

Cool Re: Pro Tools 9!

MPowered crossgrade is almost £100 more than LE crossgrade... so even though I paid probably more than £300 for the MPTK2 for MPowered, I actually get less (relatively speaking) for more money than...

So why is it almost £100 more expensive to crossgrade from M-Powered than it is from LE? I have the M-Powered wth the MPTK2, my mate has regular LE - so he gets way more for way less... yeah?

Re: Open letter to customers

If Ferrari decided to adopt the name of their parent company, would people still lust after a Fiat 599? Not quite the same thing, but the thought just popped in my head. :)
