I tried that, but all it does is open the Spotlight search window in the OS. Does nothing for the record operation.

I just checked an installation (HD2, mac, dual core, 7.4) that had the cable coming from the core card to a digidesign SYNC. the sync is there mainly for 2" transfers.

yep...pro tools glitch...happens to me all the time in 7.x specifically with reverb on an aux input...

reboot...pref trash helps.
