Re: Can't import video when frame rate not the same as the current one

+1

For whatever reason, if the video still exists in the clip list (on right side), whether it's on the timeline or not, it will not import a new video at different frame rate.

Re: MacPro Shuts Down

Sounds like you got it fixed, but just as an FYI, I had the same issue with a MacPro. I had thought it was bad RAM, but turned out to be a failing graphics card. Just something else to consider if...

Re: Help: editing regions causes auto break points

Well, I didn't find it yet, but I think the workaround may have been to turn off automation follows edit (???). Not entirely sure. But what I did just find is that the 10.3.2 update fixed this bug...

Re: Help: editing regions causes auto break points

Yeah it's a bug that was introduced in 10.3. I'm pretty sure I read a post about a workaround for this. Will try to find and post a link.

Re: Simple Question about merging "Grid" & Shuffle" Features.

Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but if you press F1+F4 together, it will engage Shuffle mode while also remaining in Grid mode. Alternatively, you can achieve the same by...

Re: protools 9+MBOX 2 PRO+FW800+10.7

My system is a bit older than yours but I know the FW800 issue has been around since the MBox2Pro. I use the MB2P and FW800 together with success. It's weird, but if I make my firewire connections...

Re: pt 9 and 10 on the same computer

You would have to have two separate partitions to achieve that, or two separate hard drives. Having two separate users in the same OS would not work as they would both be accessing the same...

Re: What is the difference between HD Native & HDX

But notice you couldn't do so without again making it about yourself.

That's it, I'm done. No matter what else you post here, I refuse to come back to this thread. This is so...

Re: What is the difference between HD Native & HDX

Yeah, I know, this has gotten ridiculous and WAY off base from the OP. Let me at least post a link to another thread with the same subject that could actually be of some use.

What's the...

And helping OP is also all I was trying to do, in a concise manner. All the info is right there. I don't know you, you don't know me. I really don't see why you feel the need to disrespect fellow...

Real classy post bud. Do you feel big coming on the internet and flaming people? While true that he said he was asking about 3 versions, when I did read the post, he only asked about 2 different...

Re: Firefox 4 is crap...

No, OP meant FF 4. In less than 1 year it went from v4 to v14. Kinda silly if you ask me.

Good suggestion by alags. You could also use the Insert Time function, found in the Event menu/Time Operations submenu.

Re: Upgrade to 10 now or stick it out with 9MP? (returning to Pro Tools)

It will likely cost more if you upgrade from 9 to 11 vs. 10 to 11. The upgrade to 10 is more if you are coming from 8 rather than 9.

Re: 002 optical inputs

Yes you should be able to track them all simultaneously. Is ADAT 1&2 the only input option you are getting? Should be able to cycle through ADAT 1-8 and be hearing audio on each (as long as there...

Re: Is it my external HD???

Should still work with your FW800-400 cable though, right? That hard drive has two FW400 ports, doesn't it?

Re: Is it my external HD???

That drive should be fine. Does it still happen if connected MBP-->HD-->Interface? That is the 'recommended' configuration.
