Because Avid did something to the system I just had to do the same thing at Guitar Center because I updated a file and my old ilok wouldn't work. The technician had to dig deep into avids website...

What version of protools were you using? Because I just had to buy a new ilok for mines when I upgraded cause my old one wouldn't work. The guy in guitar center had to figure it out on avids...

Whatever you do don't use lion with protools 10 it will not work you will have a migraine for sure. If I remember correctly protools 10 works with Yosemite OSX system. Best to check the avid...

There's your problem right there cause I went through the same thing. You need 16 GB of RAM because pro tools uses 8 just to function.

If you have Mac's OS 10.11.6 you can run Pro tools 12.4.0 because I use a Mac book pro 2012 and I am using pro tools 12.4.0 with a native instruments maschine mikro 2 drum machine.

If I am understanding you correctly you might have to go to plug-ins thru instruments the same way you do with native instruments then assign each channel to a track in Pro tools "ex.2" etc... Arm...

You cannot use Sierra with PT10 you are going to have to go back to El-captian 10.11.6 OS and wipe your hardrice clean of that OS system. I did it not too long ago. Sierra is not capable with Pro...

If he downgrades he's going to have to wipe the entire (Protools) programs; downloads and etc...from his mac and start all over which will result in losing anything he previously recorded. So save...
