I just installed PT 2022.5 and the installer said that among other things that it was necessary to install Avid Link and Avid Cloud Services. Is it really necessary to have these two apps installed...

Check your preferences. If under the Operation tab, "Play Start Marker Follows Timeline Selection" is checked, uncheck it. Hope that helps.

I agree! I don't have any problems with midi editing in PT 2021.12.0. Just the other day I matched the position of notes in a midi track to the notes on an audio track. Seems to work just fine for me...

Under Setup/Preferences/Processing/Import tick the box that says "Automatically Copy Files on Import" that should copy the files into you audio files folder.

Running SoundToys DeviLoc and Little Microshift v4.43 with no problems in PT 2021.12.0 but I'm on a PC with the 21H1 version of MS Windows 10.

Mine shows all the Pro Tools releases from 10.3.10 to 2021.7 including 2021.6 and 2021.3. I also have all those on one of my HDs. Just sayin...

I think I found the problem. Avid has not updated the release limit on my iLok to 3/31/2022. It still says 3/20/2021 and I purchased a Pro Tools Update & Support plan on 3/31/2021 which now expires...

Thanks unkJE! I followed your instructions to the letter 2 times but got the same pop-up to activate PT license. It sees my iLok but I can't select it. Oh well, back to PT 2021.3.1.

And, yes my iLok2 is in a USB 2.0 slot. PT 2021.3.1 works great!
