Can I say this much,that I have tried manys a combination and the one thats most reliable and rock solid in every way with protools especially 7.4 is the AMD 5200+dual core with an nforce4 chipset...

Im using a foxconn mother board with an enforce4 chipset a great combination for the amd dualcore 5200+
The mother board is also sli which I think is important 2gig ram kingston 4 hard...

For the record shawn Im using amd dual core and I dont have this problem.two procs showing up.
The 7.4 is rock solid the only problem I seem to have is the help files which is a small one...
