Re: New Hackintosh / PT7 monster HD PCI Rig

Re: New Hackintosh / PT7 monster HD PCI Rig

2. ONLY use UniBeast to make your installer
3. ONLY use MultiBeast defaults

This probably forces you to use...

Re: New Hackintosh / PT7 monster HD PCI Rig

Ah, but for a hackintosh, there are no drivers for ATI that work OOB! :-)
hackintosh video cards come from a relatively short list, but from within the list there are some great options.

Are we...

Re: New Hackintosh / PT7 monster HD PCI Rig

PS -- TRY:
1. Install core card ONLY into PCI 4 (last slot). Digitest. Ok? restart.
2. Launch Protools 10.2 - do a test session at 44.1 with 1 stereo track of audio only. Playback ok? Good....

Re: New Hackintosh / PT7 monster HD PCI Rig

This is the hackintosh thread, so I was surprised that you were going to use the Jetway for W7

mac guys (even hackintosh builders) don't talk about IRQs. We don't know. we don't care. If...

Re: New Hackintosh / PT7 monster HD PCI Rig

Fred - 8400GS didn't work for me, and others on TonyMac have also warned against.

I am NOT doing this for sport... I want a rig that works without any hoop jumping. So I bought a EVGA GeForce GT...

Re: New Hackintosh / PT7 monster HD PCI Rig

James,

Not at all!

UniBeast is a tool that creates a bootable USB (with Chimera and the Lion installer)

MultiBeast is a tool that is used post-installation to fix/install/remove kexts and...

Re: New Hackintosh / PT7 monster HD PCI Rig

Hi James,

But this is not ideal as you can simply download a complete 10.7.4 installer fresh from the app store, right?

Ah, but that's what UniBeast...

Re: New Hackintosh / PT7 monster HD PCI Rig

I am a day away from completing my first track...

Re: New Hackintosh / PT7 monster HD PCI Rig
