Hi guys,
I've run into a weird problem. I can't get MIDI to work on my PT7.1. I know it sounds lame. But In AMS setup everything is connected properly, MIDI test is working. Everything works in...

Re: Can\'t access all chips on Accell Cards

This has to do with different types of DSP chips on the cards and is probably not going to get fixed with any software updates. I've had this issue with ReVibe since it can only use the 150Mhz chips...

Re: Suggestions for HD interfaces for 24 I/O channels

AI4 is Digital-to-Digital conversion only. It converts AES/EBU to ADAT and back. No analog I/O.

Re: Error 7204 when inserting ReVibe PT7

Chris, thanks for clarification. That is exactly what I've been doing for all my mixes. But in a 70-90 track mix it's nice to have different choices of reverbs and delays, so that is the reason for...

Re: Error 7204 when inserting ReVibe PT7

Thanks for your help guys.
Jeremy, I went in the direction you suggested and customized your step-by-step instructions to suit my particular session. What I did was disabling all ReVibes and then...

Error 7204 when inserting ReVibe PT7

Hi,
I'm running 10.4.3 with PT7. When trying to insert ReVibe on one of the busses it gives me -7204 message ("not enough free DSP") although I have 3 DSPs available on my Accel card (should be good...

Re: Best G5 Rev for me?

From http://barefeats.com/quad02.html [at the very bottom]:

Some of you have asked which "older" G5 Power Mac models are most desirable. I recommend getting a model with 8 memory slots, 100/133MHz...

Re: Expansion|HD chassis

PCMCIA would definitely be great to have available... 64-bit PCI-E CardBus still seems like a far away dream to me. Probably when Apple releases its first x86 laptops next year is the earliest we can...

Re: MBOX1, G4, PowerBook and multiple errors

One more thing.... I adjusted the MIX knob on the MBox to give me zero-latency monitoring on Input1. And while recording it sounds good but the actual track is being recorded delayed about 50ms....

Re: MBOX1, G4, PowerBook and multiple errors

Identical problem here.... Newest PowerBook (the one with HD display) - same error messages. Latency is killing me and is random at every playback/record. (sometimes it's really what 1024 buffer size...

Re: More 3d type Dimension in Mixes

I'm on the same page with you... It's definitely both - mixing chops and great analog summing along with hi-end analog gear. Every engineer who I admire mixes OTB using PT for playback and automation...

Re: Logic Plugins w/HD2 system

That's true - it is limited to 8 ESB channels. But it doesn't mean you can't do extensive mixing using both DTDM and DAE. You will just have to use native processing (AU, Logic) on DTDM before you...

Re: Logic Plugins w/HD2 system

I personally would say go with Logic. That's what I'm doing anyway. I have HD2 Accel and I'm getting Massive Pack 3 for it. The good thing is that I can use all these TDM plugins in Logic. It's a...
