After i changed to a 1 terrabyte SSD harddisk, and dobbeled the ram, everything speeded significant up on my system!
I also use a extern SSD disk for the sessions and projects

I found this awesome ability to record Mainstage, (Logic) sounds in PT.
This old link and some modifications did the trick. Since i use Mainstage a lot live, but not Logici, i want to record sounds...

Yes, i hope it will do. A Samsung evo 850 SSD 1 tb would maybe do the job?
I already use an external Evo 850, 250 GB harddrive without any problems.

The limit on my Imac is 16 GB ram. The macine has been running flawlessly all these years and and the cost of this upgrade vs a new machine with the same wanted performances will be 80% saved money:o

I'm a keyboard player and use M-audio keystation 61 on PT 12,5.
I like the keys, (semiweighted) on that keyboard) I also use it live with Mainstage. In my opinion you dont need fully weighted keys...

Good to hear because i suspect that some of my bugs are caused by my slow usb2 interface. I've noticed the Focusrite Claretts too and may go for one of those:-)

Well improwed latency and audio engine performance sounds like better performance in PT to me. I use an external HD with usb 3 connection now and experience less problems than before.

Kontakt is a predator and eats your cpu. Especially when keyboardists like me want to use 5, 6 tracks together with the rest of a big mix:-)
No need for giving the tracks priority when you can...
