Go the workspace window and select that drive as record and playback (P and R). That usually fixes the issue you're having.

make processor performance highest.

You should dither down to 16 bitr from 24 bit..Either use the built in digi has or another if you have waves etc.

Try increasing the processor performance in your system prefs under energy saver..then its in the options tab. My G5 with 3 gigs of ram was doing the same thing as you described untill i changed...

I had the same problem..minus the desktop...its a big hassle..so I'd take the adivce of when ever you need to move a session..open it...make sure all files are linked..and save a copy to the new...

If you play a note down or up from the normal one you started with then you get two degrees of pitch bending...not sure how far you need to go but it helps a little.

RAID and Protools

I bought a Raid system to use to edit large and high quality video in Final Cut Pro...but when I try to launch protools and opne a session on the RAIDed disks it won't open.

Does anyone know why??...
