I am not Digi-bashing. But I am concerned with the time it is taking to get PT compatible with 10.6.0 or 10.6.1.

Running 10.6 on another partition is ideal and it is what I do....

I understand this is a Pre-Release (perhaps we can call it a BETA?), but it does worry me that the pre-release seems to require a lot of work to make it run smooth with Snow Leopard and it is already...

Yeah I agree! Only the 17" MBP has an Express Card slot. That's not great news for audio and video users wanting to buy the 15" models.

I find the macprovideo tutorials by Scott Frieman. It's the Core Pro Tools one to start with that I found very helpful. I signed up to the subscription which was $18, but now they have so many more...

I love my MBP. Never want to return to my windows nightmares. Macs ain't perfect but I have less technical time-outs (crosses fingers) than with my old PCs.

Logic 9 is pretty sweet BTW.

I will echo what has been said. SSD drives are the way of the future but I would wait until 1. SSD is better value for money and 2. It is officially supported by Pro Tools.
