Re: Aux/bus input "doubles" my tracks! Need help

Hmmm, some things to consider:

If you came from 8 LE(or M-Powered) which had no delay compensation, did you actually nudge things in the original session(which puts them out of time with ADC...

Re: Avid S1...I am excited!

Just do what have done for Artist units and connect all the power to a strip(preferrably a rack strip) and power them on with a single switch:o These days, I have 1 switch that turns on everything...

Re: exporting warped clips in new tempo

This sounds odd(to me) and step #1 for "odd" is trashing prefs. Okay, maybe that's step #2 after saving and closing the session, then re-open and try the export again, with a few things in mind:...

Re: Noobie - and Latency

If you haven't already, go to VIEW>Mix Window Shows>check the Delay Compensation option. This will add a row of info across the lower part of the MIX window. If you see numbers in those lower...

Re: Help!

As I said, ONLY M-Audio interfaces will work. You already know that their drivers are suspect and the hardware is mostly obsolete. Trying to continue using either old hardware or old software is...

Re: Help!

I recommend getting the newest version of Pro Tools(what you have is not likely to work with any current OS anyway). Then, you can look at a huge assortment of interfaces(PT M-Powered ONLY works with...

Re: Need software drum sequencer advice

To me, BOOM is just a beat box when it sounds like you want real-sounding drums. Superior Drummer 3 would be my suggestion. Not that I think it sounds "better" than other options("better" being very...

Re: Collaboration question

As someone that receives sessions for mixing, I recommend you send 2 versions.

#1 would be stripped to nothing but audio tracks(and VI instrument or midi stuff should be committed(rendered to...

Re: Opening Session Changes I/O and Prefs

Re: Relink Menu: My folders are locked?!

I think more questions will come up before any solution. For me:
1-Why are those folders locked?(never seen that here)
2-Why would any audio files be found in any of those locked folders?
Can you...

Re: question about 8th gen intel i3

Just an opinion....any way you slice it, the i3 is a "budget" cpu, and you want "power" for an audio recording setup. Certain things just should not be skimped on(like cpu, RAM, cooling, hard drive...

Gotchya(just found where you mentioned HD):o I remember reading about users that needed to insert a TDM plugin in front of RTAS before compensation would work correctly:rolleyes:

There's no single trick. It will be a combination of Clip Gain, compression, limiting and volume automation. Or try to demo Waves Vocal Rider:o

Re: possibly corrupt 002 driver? Dead 002 unit?

Its probably NOT...
