same config here. upgraded from 8.03 to 8.1.1 because of HEAT few yrs ago.
no problems at all. I noticed a problem (latest version PT 8 HD) only with the import session tracks from older versions ...

maybe it works only on PT 10 HD, OSX 10.8 ? - no idea. I'm waiting for the response from a competent person. I am interested in it too.

After upgrade from 10.3.2 lost often sidechain synchronisation. restart didn't help always. how to solve? downgrad to 10.3.2?

native system can be used with offline bouncing. Cheapest DAW prove it.
plugin delay compensation has been forbidden for years on native and suddenly it works. it's just politics

Today bought PT 10 just ONLY because of this.

I am dreaming. PT10 is small upgrade bugs for PT 8 which should have been included in PT8.

I am sure offline bouncing is reason for next $2000 ...

Activity monitor - Disk activity looks similar between 7200RPM and SSD no big difference, SSD much better on data written/read abt 200 MB/s and it's completely silent. Practically did not feel...

2011 17" model MB i7 2.3GHz here.
CPU is very good. PT9 works fine, 30-40 track plugins eat 20-30% CPU if more, Cooler is very noisy. I have two MB'ks one MB with 7200 HDD and second with SSD....
