Re: Roland Octa-Capture crashes (PT 11 - Win 7 /64-bit )

I can't believe you guys even got it to work in PT10. I get the "hardware not found or is in use" error with the Duo-Capture EX in PT10.

Although, Roland is not the only company to have this...

Avid, something to consider here.

Avid,

With all due respect, your current approach is not working. You aren't making us customers feel satisfied with the amount of time it's taking to resolve the momentary freezing issues, as...

Re: PT10 on Windows 7 ?

Thanks, Faceb! I figured it might have to do with my UAD card. To answer your question, yes I'm up to date with UAD, Windows, and PT10. (Windows 7 X64).

Glad you posted that link, because now I...

Re: PT10 on Windows 7 ?

Update: I uninstalled PT10 and then manually deleted all the left over folders (including my plugin directory). I re-installed the program plus all my plugins and everything is working fine for...

Re: PT10 on Windows 7 ?

Well, it's pretty and it works nicely when you aren't doing anything serious. Once you really start doing hardcore work with tracks and plugins and everything else....it'll give you a memory error...

Re: ... but my disk is NOT slow or fragmented !?

I would try to manually change the page file setting from "system managed" to "custom" and then select the recommended size that it lists there (it probably says 8192MB or something since you're...

Re: If having issues with PT9 and you use a Lynx AES card, read this

Ok, I was able to get work done in a couple different projects than the previous one without any audio gurgling so I'm getting excited. I changed my page file on the C drive to "custom" and made it...

Re: If having issues with PT9 and you use a Lynx AES card, read this

My buffer is already set to 1024 (the highest setting) when working on projects like I am, as suggested by Universal Audio when using their latency-inherent UAD-2 cards. What's interesting is that...

Re: If having issues with PT9 and you use a Lynx AES card, read this

Ok, it didn't take long for the symptom to come back, even when the buffers are set properly.
The only way I can get the audio to play back properly is by changing the CPU% in the playback engine...

Re: Pro Tools is unable to communicate with M-Audio Keyboard

Key sentence here.

I'm so sorry to tell you this mstreacy, but you will have to use your other software to make your midi tracks, export them to wav files when you are done creating, and then...

Re: Unable to Auto Back up??

Hi Jeff,

I just replied to another thread about the auto saving bug in Windows 7 64-bit. You simply have to un-check the auto-save option in the preferences for now until Avid resolves the issue....

Re: Auto Save error (seems like a major Protools 9 Problem)

Hi guileman,

This is indeed a bug with Pro Tools and Windows 7 64-bit. I have the same problem with mine. To remedy this, I had to go to Setup-->Preferences-->Operation, and then at the bottom,...

Re: Win7/PT9 seems like cpu maxed with 1 track?

You're welcome. As far as your plugins are concerned, I think that if you check the box at the bottom of the playback engine that says "optimize for streaming content on audio drives," it might...

Re: Goodbye Pro Tools

Blaming the OP and his hardware is ignorant of some basic principles. The exact same hardware he has will run Cubase (and the like) just fine. More than fine, actually. It will work perfectly.

Re: Error Messages using 3rd Party Interface: UA 101

You know, I just re-read the last part of your post and realized that you already set your ASIO correctly, etc. Just try the playback engine settings I suggested and see if that helps.

Yes, I...

Re: Error Messages using 3rd Party Interface: UA 101

Go to Setup-->preferences, then go to the Processing tab. Uncheck "enable elastic audio on new tracks" and then hit OK.

Go to Setup-->playback engine. At the very top, make sure that "current...
