Re: MIDI Timing in LE 7.3.1 is BUGGNUTZ!!

Hey DIGI,

I've tried the test you recommended. And here are the results;

At a playback buffer setting of 64 the MIDI timing while triggering an "external" device was the best. While not "spot...

Re: MIDI Timing in LE 7.3.1 is BUGGNUTZ!!

Thanks for the info,

I've used all the different buffer settings and I seem to be getting the same results. This is with 4 processors selected at each buffer setting.

I will try another test...

Re: MIDI Timing in LE 7.3.1 is BUGGNUTZ!!

Thanks Sonny,
That's exactly what I'm talking about. It's on a very BASIC level of midi timing. Imagine having a full session load of midi tracks playing back inconsistently!!!?? Something is...

Re: MIDI Timing in LE 7.3.1 is BUGGNUTZ!!

Thanx DIGI,
I really believe this is a real problem and only PT 7.3/MacPro/Intel related. Like Matt stated before, I too upgraded straight from 7.1 to 7.3, bypassing 7.2.

To clarify my basic...

Re: MIDI Timing in LE 7.3.1 is BUGGNUTZ!!

Matt,
Thanx for the feedback. Yeah, sounds like it's related. I don't remember 7.1 being like this and definately not 6.x!! I work with HD setups in the studios I work at and I don't recall...

Re: MIDI Timing in LE 7.3.1 is BUGGNUTZ!!

Thanx for the test idea I'll try that.

But, here's the thing. If you would have read the earlier posts you would have seen that it was a "simple" click track. One MIDI track one Audio track at...

Re: MIDI Timing in LE 7.3.1 is BUGGNUTZ!!

Sound like a big problem. Any one else had any similar problems as described in the earlier threads? I don't seem to have the problem with any "internal" software synths it's only the sync...

Thanx for the suggestions...
But I have to say, because everything else with the "audio" part of the software appears to be working, I am really apprehensive about re-installing my software. ...

Re: MIDI Timing in LE 7.3.1 is BUGGNUTZ!!

Thanx for responding,
I've tried the "fix" you suggested. It didn't solve the problem. The thing that I can't figure out is, just a plain 1/4 note tick played back triggering an "external"...

Re: MIDI Timing in LE 7.3.1 is BUGGNUTZ!!

I've done a test using a quarter note tick to trigger an external keyboard playing a simple cowbell. I quantized it to the grid on quarter notes... everything looks right, but when you...
