Re: New Module

There's no more eye strain with the current PT then there was with whatever version you now have. The gui really hasn't changed.

Exactly. And you don't need a new PT version to use the current...

Re: Plugin Alliance insanity

I didn't go for Fender 2 because I didn't need/want the amps that are in there. I would have iF IKMM had modeled a piggyback Bassman (thanks PA for that) and a piggyback Bandmaster.

Re: Plugin Alliance insanity

You must be talking about the over-priced Lurssen Console. Wouldn't have it even if it were free. I've pretty much sworn off IKMM plugins even though I have a ton of them. There's only two that get...

Re: New Module

I don't think any synth manufacturer makes a rack mount device anymore. Heck Moog stopped producing the Voyager Rack Mount Edition (RME) about 2 years back. Glad I got mine. There are some that make...

Re: Plugin Alliance insanity

Not even close. You have way more flexibility in the TG Mastering plugin than you do Masterdesk. It's also a totally different sound between the two. I too have the TG from Waves and would never use...

Re: 12 cores not being used equally (cpu errors)

They all suck at balancing cpu usage. You definitely should look into VEPro; I think there's a demo but you'll need a physical Steinberg or Vienna key as it won't work with the s/w version.

Re: Plugin Alliance insanity

Got better things to spend my voucher money on than this. My master chain is already set at elysia alpha compressor and Dangerous Bax eq and that's it. If something needs correlation correction at...

Re: boost::filesystem::path codeccvt to wstring: error

No. He's saying have you contacted Izotope?
What do you mean by automatic shutdown? Is PT crashing to desktop?
Some system info would help as you have none listed.

While waiting for that I did a...

Re: 12 cores not being used equally (cpu errors)

Already told you:
If you run vi's split the load amongst several instances of said vi instead of loading everything into one instance. Also try running stuff inside VEPro 6 (soon to be 7). That will...

Re: Plugin Alliance insanity

Please - not that (the CNN part).

Looks good. I like you included a couple more of the major differences between the two eq's. The gain scale is control genius on their part for digital V3. This...

Re: Plugin Alliance insanity

The mix versions are a simplified interface that only shows one set of controls hence they can't do separate left and right eq (they don't have a link button). The neat thing with the mastering...

Re: Plugin Alliance insanity

Thanks for the video. You do know the digital V3 also does regular L/R eq work right? It's not just a M/S eq.

Re: PT 12 editing issues - cursor won't move, edit window jumps.

If it's a laser mouse it could be the mouse pad it's on and if it's an old-fashioned mouse with a ball then try cleaning the rollers and ball.

Re: Plugin Alliance insanity

I passed on this one as I already have the digital_V3 which is the bigger brother to hybrid. That and I don't have an Icon console ;)

The guitar amps rarely do on sale. Another that rarely does on...

Re: PT 12 editing issues - cursor won't move, edit window jumps.

How about some up to date system specs? Your profile info is way old.

While waiting for that you're running El Crapitan which is the absolute worst OSX Apple has ever put out. You'd do better to...

Re: 12 cores not being used equally (cpu errors)

Depends on what's in the session. If you're using vi's spreading out the load amongst multiple instances instead of putting everything into one or two instances will help spread the load. For...

Re: Help me out!

Goes back to PT11 on Sierra. Been running that combo for about 9 months now and it's been just fine other than the import audio bit. Drag and drop works just fine and isn't all that slow.

Re: Avid DUC not secure?

There isn't and there's no need to as nothing is sold here. I don't use Safari - hate the gui. My browser of choice is Firefox Quantum.

Safari will let me login no problem. What version Safari...

Re: Yamaha MOXF8 Patch names

.midnam files are those that contain the patch names for a particular instrument. It's what you would see for patch changes if the Yamaha was selected as the destination for the MIDI stream. Normally...

Re: MIDI notes not sounding

It's on his profile page.

Two possibilities:
The first is PT has lost it's routing to the vi on the track. Enable 'instruments' view in the edit screen and see what the routing is.

Another...

Re: Bex Event MSVCR80.dll Error Upon Opening Pro Tools

From what I could find via Google the most common remedy seems to be an uninstall/reinstall of the s/w. Look at it this way - you don't have to wipe your system drive and reinstall Windows (yet)...

Re: Plugin Alliance insanity

I think I paid $49 for it a while back. My main use for it is to reduce pick sounds from guitar & bass.

Re: Plugin Alliance insanity

Yes you can turn off TMT. And when I did it didn't seem to make a difference. The only time it solidly stopped messing with the correlation was when I bypassed the whole plugin :(

As a test I put...
