It's a technique I once saw demonstrated using ProTools in a Dave Kusak video course he's selling. The resulting sound he achieved was very different; - "bigger". (Hard to describe.)

How do you set your playback engine? I'm using a Steinburg UR 22 mkII mixer, but somehow, my playback engine reset itself to my computer motherboard's sound card, which is Realtek Digital output....

I still haven't figured out why I can't import the files of the sounds I wanted, but in the meantime, I've found sounds that will work, and can be imported from freesounds.org. So, problem solved....
