Re: why can't I turn single key shortcuts back on after they're mysteriously disabled

I noticed this too. I think that the keyboard focus command (a...z button) changes if you go to another window/editor that can use this function. For example, if you open a midi region in the midi...

In 'System Preferences' just check sound output to use Built In Speakers. Core Audio is starting because you have your protools interface set for all system sounds.

Do you have digi 002 set as the mac system audio output? If so, then another application that has launched is/was using Core Audio and Pro Tools can't grab the 002. Just make sure you quit Digi...

Re: Mbox (original)/iMac (intel) Compatibility

I have been using a 20" iMac with original MBox since the Leopard pre-release, with very good results. Over the course of moving to the new system, I updated the MBox firmware to the latest. Perhaps...

Re: \"save session\" bug

Also, using they keyboard command of apple-shift-w to close the session keeps your cursor in the same position, and will likely not ask you to save session again.

Re: \"save session\" bug

A session save saves everything about the session, including how windows are arranged, where the transport is, where cursor is, etc... It's likely that some aspect of the session has changed since...

That's right... spaces, hyphen, any character or space counts toward the limit. Also, the L or R that is added to...

Re: Anyway to go back to 10.4.8 ?

How long are your session and file names? If they exceed the character limit, it results in errors, FW Bus erros, etc... I think this was fixed with an update, but I'm not positive. If this problem...

Re: Need advice ASAP re: shifting timings in a film project

Use 'Spot' mode to move items to precise new locations. It would help if you got a new OMF from the video editor, and you could visually see where the new material was inserted, and lengthen music...

Re: Cannot hear what is being recorded in headphones

Also, when you start up ProTools, it defaults to 'MUTE' on the 002. Check that the red Mute light is not active (top right).

Re: Is through audio possible without LE open and REC ENABLE

Looks like that is the case. Take it back and see if they have any 002's where you bought it.

Re: Is through audio possible without LE open and REC ENABLED?

I'm not sure, but I think they ditched 'Stand Alone Mode' with the 003. It has a stand alone MIDI mode, but not mixer mode (as the 002 had). I could be wrong, but that's what I can tell from the...

Re: How can I patch an outboard mono compressor into an 002R?

You could also just use the 002 as Mic preamps on channels 1 and 2. In ProTools, create 2 new mono tracks, inputs 1 and 2, respectively. Set the Output of both of these tracks to, say, Analog 7. ...

Re: Session imported to LE, no output

Do you know where the session came from? Is the output of individual tracks maybe something other than Analog Out 1/2? Maybe they sent everything to a bus, and you need to place a mix track in...

Re: Stop. Go.

I have seen this problem on my system (powerbook G4, MBox, PT7.2). I have to restart ProTools, and it goes away. It seems related (for me, anyway) to when I 'Hide ProTools' and have QuickTime doing...

Re: Some BF Essential plugins not working/showing up

Did you have the authorizations on an iLok? I thought some of the BF essential plugs required an iLok. Could be wrong.

Re: Low Microphone/DIGI 002

Also, just a shot in the dark, but is the MIC cable you are using actually an XLR cable, and not and XLR on one end and 1/4" on the other, plugged into the 1/4" jack on back of the 002? Sorry if...

Re: Alpha Track Anyone Using?
