I think you need to capture the QT it using the DV codec. I'm bot exactly sure but there are many strings available on the topic in the post and surround forum.

drop frame timecode is a way of keeping clock on the wall time (ABS time if you will) in sync with time code. it is useful for broadcasters who only care about an hour being an hour and not a hour+3...
