I know it sounds counterintuitive, but try connecting the Artist Devices via an unmanaged switch instead of a hub...

Several users in the past that have had connection issues have had success...

Have you tried connecting just the Control by itself to the MAC?

It does sound like you might have an intermittency during the handshake process... maybe check the Ethernet jack for looseness, or...

Okay... I understand now... You basically have a hybrid installation of EuControl, which i'm completely familiar with.

So, with that in mind... why not just use the latest version that worked...

Did you check/upgrade the firmware in the Artist MIX? Different versions of EuControl may require a different firmware to be installed in the device!

Check the EuControl software, on the add surfaces page... make sure your surfaces are in the proper order from top to bottom, where ch1 is the top, and your channels get higher as you progress to the...

I don't mean to answer for Eddie, but it has always been my understanding that EuCon is the "Standard", which AVID owns... and DAW developers design "EuCon adapters" to link functionality within each...

First off... Congrats on the controller staying connected!

Second... that file looks like it may be the EuCon Adapter installed by Logic, but I don't know for sure. You might want to check over...

Okay... I've been looking at the data sheet for that particular micro controller, and judging from the 12F509i footprint, it doesn't appear to have an A to D converter.

The joints for the Diode (D93)look a little suspect also, as do some of the other work... pitting in the joints themselves. Do you know if anyone else has been tinkering...

I could be wrong, because maybe it should be that way, but resistor "R164" from your picture appears to be missing.... I'd check for loose parts rattling around the chassis.

At least the link you posted is for a Switch, which is all you need.

Maybe... but be careful, If the Artist Mix is working for a while in Logic, but then suddenly just drops the connection... In my opinion suggest there is a break, or interruption in communication...

While you still have Logic open (after the controllers disconnect), right click on the EuControl icon in the tray, or whatever the equivalent on the MAC... and choose restart Eucon Applications...
