Start up PTLE - Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete
Then find the protools exe file in processes and right click on it and set the affinity to 1 cpu. (It does not mather wich)

I don´t know if Bootcamp will allow 3 (or more) partitions. You will not get any better performance by partitioning the Mac partition into one Os and one Audio partition because it´s still the same...

Most of the hardisk "hype" are BS.

The harddrive controller is just as important as the harddrive, but with todays technology this is not an issue.
I can track 32 tracks at 24bit/96khz with tons...

Yes, the SSL plugs need more CPU than the other plugs (about1/4 to 1/2 times more depending on what SSL plug you´re using) but that´s probably why they sound so MUCH better also
