Re: Elastic audio not committing

#1-what happens if you put the track in Samples mode?
#2-the trick to X-Form(for me) is to separate the audio into manageable clips that fit the screen. That way, X-Form is only rendering a smaller...

Re: Problems with LLM / Allow sends to persist during LLM

For me, LLM has always had issues, going back to PT9. I simply don't use it and would bet you may not need to either. Any modern computer should be fine tracking at a buffer setting of 64(44.1 or...

Re: punch in and punch out?

Its for real if the person playing is also the person engineering:o(but yes, if you are recording others, you can do it with simple keyboard commands)

Re: punch in and punch out?

I don't think you can. Either auto-punch or a Faderport seems your best bet:o
You might also watch some youtube videos on using the auto-punch feature, and while you're checking that out, look into...

Re: punch in and punch out?

Need more info. What interface? Any hardware control surface connected?

Having said that, you can use automatic punch-in/out. Set Pre-roll and Post-roll, highlight the timeline where you want the...

Re: Using a compressor plugin while bouncing to disk

Here's another POV; If it sounds good to you, any compressor will work. BUT, if you are doing this because somebody said "you need to use a compressor", then I would re-evaluate a bit. The best...

Re: ProTools won't start while connected to UR44(Line 994 Assertion Error)

2 things that may help:
#1-whenever you disconnect the interface(like when you moved to another room), its best to shut the computer down. Move things and reconnect, then restart the computer....

Re: EuControl

2 suggestions:
#1-uninstall Eucon(completely) and install the latest version only(Eucon doesn't seem to like having new versions installed over old versions)
#2-delete the app from your iPad and...

Re: Edit & Mix windows on different desktops á la MAC

That^^^ is one option. Another is the old(not sure about the new version) Presonus Faderport as it has buttons to select MIX or EDIT(one button is actually labelled "Proj"). 2 screens works just fine...

Re: Trimmer Tool very hard to see

I know your struggle;) What size screen and resolution are you using?(just wondering if a bigger screen would help). I run a 43" 1080P TV above a 27" LED monitor(also 1920x1080). I find that putting...

Re: HELP! M-Audio Project Mix+Intel Quad6600+PTMP7.3=Distortion!

Re the temperature warnings; you said you rebuilt the system. Did you touch the cpu, or the cpu cooler? Case fans? If the cooler has not been touched in a long time(that's an "old" computer), maybe...

Re: Any way to create Aggregate MIDI Input devices?

Okay, why do you not want to use ALL? Did you neglect to mention other midi controllers in your setup? I'm only trying to show how to reach your goal with the least number of steps. Maybe just...

Re: Changing pitch of a song

Guess I need to dig deeper on this. I was under the impression that only Polyphonic would allow the pitch change:o

Re: Automatic folder creation from template

I know of no way to have that extra folder created automatically. I think you will simply need to keep adding it after each session is created, opened and saved:o

Check with allproelectronics.com They are located in Nashville and are an Avid-approved service center, so they can get parts(assuming Avid has them available):o

Re: What would you replace your Mbox 3 with?

Those smaller Apollo units are still worth a long look:o. Also, RME has been one of the best for solid drivers(and their audio quality is up there with the best):-)

Re: Using 2 USB I/O's with PT 12 ??

Another option for if you need to do a full mix in the second room. Lose the Soundcraft and get another X32(could be X32 rack, Compact or Producer) and set them to share the same inputs(ethernet...

Re: Vocal Process Chains and Buses

And....just in case this fell through the cracks, delay plugins on an AUX track should also be set to 100% wet(that way they don't cause the vocal to get louder).

Back to the beginning for a...

Re: Vocal Mic Bleed

Well, it would be cumbersome, but some kind of microphone shield could be placed below the mic to block sound from the guitar. If you're recording yourself, you can probably find a way to make that...

Okay, then once all your devices are setup under the Setup>Midi>Midi Studio menu(so Pro Tools knows where to "look for" incoming midi info), leave your track set to receive from ALL(which is the...

Re: Vocal Mic Bleed

This is very difficult to do. The best way is with both vocal and guitar being mic'd up with figure 8 pattern microphones and aiming the null of each at the "other" source. My solution is to let the...

Re: How to change colors of tracks/ Protools 11.1.3

Pretty sure its found under the Preferences sub-menu. There's quite a lot of stuff in there that's worth learning, so I would dig thru the help files a bit, and search youtube for some video...
