The great thing about REAPER is you can install both 32 and 64 bit versions and they will both work on your PC! But to rewire into Pro Tools I believe you have to use the 32 bit version.

Oh dear...
But on a serious note.. Try using multiple limiters, each set at a softer setting, rather than just one cranked up. It will sound alot better if each one is just working a little bit...

Totally agree here as well. We're meant to be audio ENGINEERS remember! By definition this should make us problem solvers. Finely tuning any system is needed in audio as far as im concerned.
