I have a RMU I'm parting out, Madi based.
2 x RME MADI pcie cards + the RME sync option. 700 each. I'll throw in the rme sync option of you buy both Madi cards.

Atmos isn't too expensive for me to mix in, it's too expensive for my clients to pay for. Most would rather me mix in 5.1 or stereo and just bill a regular rate.

The Atmos requirement is going to cost Netflix a lot of money. Audio post for atmos is really expensive.

I use the s3 all the time for plugins. Top row EQ, bottom row whatever plug in or send I have to flip to faders. What I don't use for plug ins is the dock.

Netflix isnt as difficult as Apple. FYI these are best practices anyway. If you are going to try to convince companies to rely on your shop and entrust millions of dollars of work to your company....

I agree. I really liked the way it used to work.

FYI if you attn the EQ on the bottom row of knobs, the EQ plug in will follow the pro tools track selection.

yes native thunderbolt works on windows but some systems have a secure boot option that needs to be disabled. FYI Native thunderbolt on windows isn't officially supported by Avid.

I use a Dell laptop as my mobile rig with HD Native Thunderbolt. It's the XPS 15 9550. It works really well and can handle large sessions with video out of the AJ 4kIO. Dell makes a nice laptop.

You need qucitime components for AMA linking. Basically any non avid media still plays back through a quick time engine.

The negative is recalling the studio for different series and recall metering. Kind of a pain and really tv programs have enough dynamic range.
