Re: My New System

Shouldn't be a problem through WMP on XP SP2.

Re: Intel Core2Duo ... anyone got one working yet?

I'm using the Noctua NH-U12F and am extremly impressed by both lack of noise and cooling performance. If you can fit a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme in your case (definetely check measurements) then...

Re: Intel Core2Duo ... anyone got one working yet?

Did you end up trying to set the ram voltage manually before you rma'd those sticks?

In my experience, high performance memory rarely works at rated speed and latency when voltage is set to auto...

Re: Intel Core2Duo ... anyone got one working yet?

Is the memory voltage in the BIOS on auto?

What is the rated voltage for that Corsair memory?

Try setting memory voltage manually.

Re: Intel Core2Duo ... anyone got one working yet?

Greg,

I'm using the P5K Premium Wifi AP with a Q6600 G0 stepping and have absolutely no issues at all with this motherboard. Running 24/7 @ 3005Mhz with Mushkin XP2 8500 (DDR2-1066) @ 5-5-4-12

Re: Intel Core2Duo ... anyone got one working yet?

Yes, put the HDD's on the black SATA connectors starting at SATA 1. Good idea to default the bios settings, these can be tweaked later once you know you have a solid install of XP.

Re: Intel Core2Duo ... anyone got one working yet?

That looks correct. If CPU-Z says 533MHz for memory it is really DDR2-1066.

Try CoreTemp for temp readings.

Re: Intel Core2Duo ... anyone got one working yet?

Re: Intel Core2Duo ... anyone got one working yet?

When I had 300 Dverbs the signal started to break up, when I removed 2 Dverbs all was good again for 5 minutes.

@ Sunburst - The system is unbelievably stable and what you've described above is...

Re: Intel Core2Duo ... anyone got one working yet?

No, I'm using some Mushkin XP2 8500 (DDR2-1066).

At 3.34GHz my Q6600 G0 was idling at 38-39 degrees C. The only thing I did was change the memory divider (FSB:DRAM) to 2:3 and then pushed the FSB...

Re: Intel Core2Duo ... anyone got one working yet?

I don't think stability is an issue. Mine takes just about anything I throw at it!! It does 3GHz no trouble whatsoever and even did 3.34GHz @ 1.3V

Not recommending that this is what you all do,...

Re: Intel Core2Duo ... anyone got one working yet?

Definetely get the G0 or SLACR. Mine is idling with temps at 36-38 degrees with clock speed @ 3.0Ghz with the Noctua NH-U12F which is also a extremely quiet HSF.

Re: Intel Core2Duo ... anyone got one working yet?

Looks as though you know what your doing. And no it isn't too much to ask even for a B3 to be idling that high. The only other thing I can think is that the IHS (Intregarated Heat Spreader) on the...

Re: Intel Core2Duo ... anyone got one working yet?

What are you using to monitor temps?

Also are you sure you're not using too much AS5?

Re: Intel Core2Duo ... anyone got one working yet?

This is based on opening/ re-mixing/ overdubbing material that I recorded on my previous P4 system.

Also have recorded new material using BFD and guitar rig.

No crashes, no errors and I can't...

Re: Intel Core2Duo ... anyone got one working yet?

I can now confirm that my system with the 003R is rock solid 100% stable. I haven't had a chance yet to do the Dverb test and I also haven't tried the onboard Agere firewire controller.

My specs...

Re: Intel Core2Duo ... anyone got one working yet?

I've finally go my Quad going. I really like this Noctua NH-U12F, it's quiet and my idle temps is around 22 deg C. System is 100% stable at the moment @ 2700MHz.... I will say though that I'm not a...

Re: Intel Core2Duo ... anyone got one working yet?
