Albee & hotcrazyfruit, thanks for the suggestions but it turns out the solution was right in front of me all along: insert new system drive in HD machine, install OS X & PTLE and we're in business.

Now that is weird.

Changed SATA config to IDE. Same problem BUT i copied a session to ye olde PATA drive connected to the Marvell controller and voila! So far, so good.

Go figure :confused:

I recently started a mix on the ol' LE system and after a bit noticed it was, well, sucking pretty bad. It used to work great!

It's a Q6600 on P5K Pro. Mbox2 Pro.

Checked BIOS - nothing'd...

I did a repair install of XP as suggested by someone on the Apple forum and it works fine now.

I am using an external FW800 drive (924 chipset)

I actually noticed these new MacBooks use the nVidia i970 chipset. Not sure if that could be the issue?

I have a new MacBook Pro (MB985X/A. That is 15" MBP/2.66 Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM) and am experiencing the good ol' increase/decrease buffer size loop.

It's running PTLE 8.0.1 under Windows XP Pro SP3....

assuming digi use the same model for the entire world, the 002 has a universal switch mode psu allowing it to operate on any supply between 100-240 volts.
