Ask your mastering house what they prefer. The folks I use don't care what the file is, they play it out analog to their mastering system. Yes, it's a D/A and A/D conversion but they swear by it....

Try throwing out the overview file wavecache.wfm. Protools will create a new on when you open the session again. That file could be corrupt and giving you that error.

You can try to save it in an older PT format, ie 5.0, to see if FREE will open it. But you might as well just import your audio files into PT free, edit, then try to open THAT session in PT LE. Good...
