Re: HDX 12.7.1 forgetting delay compensation

Yep, hardware insert sync is affected. On my system, not only is the sync misalignment triggered by 9173 errors, but randomly - on session load - where session CPU is > 40% or so. I now automatically...

Re: HDX 12.7.1 forgetting delay compensation

What works for me is go into the Playback Engine dialog, and check then immediately uncheck the 'Ignore errors' checkbox. Saves a reboot.

Hi,

I experience the same on Windows, when using hardware inserts. -9173 errors knocks sync out. Anything changed in the Playback Engine dialog will reset this.

Re: After Error 9173 my hardware inserts are off sync

Hi

I see the same. What works for me is go into the Playback Engine dialog, and check then immediately uncheck the 'Ignore errors' checkbox. This seems to perform an engine reset of sorts, and...

Re: ADC Not functioning properly in 12.6 (native)

Hi,

Hardware ADC is problematic on my system too, and is really inconsistent. For example, I can create a simple test session with two audio tracks - one going directly to main out, the other...

Re: Ableton rewired into PT 10 constant crash

Hi,

What is it that's crashing? I had problems rewiring Live 5 into PT10 - Live would crash on launching as a rewire slave. I upgraded to Live 8.3 - no problems since.

Regards,

Quadro NVS 295 Video Card - x1 or x16

Hi,

I'd like to upgrade my video card, so I was thinking I might as well go for an officially-supported range - the NVidia Quadro. The Quadro NVS 295 has 256MB RAM, and provides 2 DisplayPorts for...

Re: Protools 10 Rewire Client

Hi Greg,

I now believe this is a Reason 6 issue. I did another clean install, PT10 with Reason 4.01 and Reaper 4.5. Rewire is now fine and working smoothly as before. However, it would be good to...

Re: Protools 10 Rewire Client

Hi DTS,

Any ideas on this? I've done a repair reinstall of PT10, but no luck. I'm able to rewire Reason into Reaper, but can't rewire Reason or Reaper into PT10 - neither program sees PT10 as a...

Re: Protools 10 Rewire Client

Hi Tom.

Thanks for the response. I'm running Windows 7 sp1, 32-bit mode, so I presume both Reason & Reaper installers load 32 bit versions. I've checked the PT Rewire plug-in folder, and both...

I've just reinstalled a fresh copy of ProTools 10 on a new OS partition. Everything is working fine, with the exception that the Reason rewire insert is missing (this was all working on my...

Re: Pro Tools 10 and UAD?

Hi,

Just downloaded & installed UAD 6.1 It seems to have reduced the CPU spikes I was getting when using ProTools bypass rather than the UAD plugin bypass (1176 has no plugin bypass).

Re: Pro Tools 10 and UAD?

Hi,

I'm running a PCIe Solo / Duo with PT10. No issues, other than the CPU spike when using the PT bypass rather than the UAD plugin bypass. But this was present in PT9, and is known issue on the...

PT10 Installation

Hi,

I'm not clear about this. I'm ready to install PT10 (an upgrade from PT9). My understanding is that this requires an uninstall of PT9? I'm assuming that I only uninstall as part of the PT10...

Re: intermitant modulated/distortion in audio

Hi,

Just to chime in. My Digi002 worked perfectly up to PT 8.0.3. From 9.0, I frequently got distorted audio, which was magically rectified by changing clock source from external to internal and...

RME Fireface UFX

I realise that Pro Tools 9 should work with any ASIO-compliant hardware, but has anyone had any direct experience running PT9 with an RME Fireface UFX on Windows 7? It's time for an...

Re: Bounce to disk latency

Hi,

Sorry, I meant disable ADC for a precise bounce, then re-enable straight afterwards. I was bouncing a wet, 3/8 delay effect. Nudging it back 2079 samples put it correctly 3 eight notes after...

Re: Bounce to disk latency

Hi,

Just thought I'd post a work-around for this problem. Basically, disable delay compensation before doing the bounce. In my case, the track reported a delay of 2079 samples. I bounced to a...

Re: Bounce to disk latency

Hi.

Thanks for the response. Printing the track wet is a side issue really. Basically, I have an audio track, 2 UAD plugins, total delay reported as 2079 samples. I bounce to disk. I would have...

Re: 002 driver hang

Sorry no luck - just can't get that damn 1394 LED light to flash. Have you always powered up this way? With XP, my 002 always powered up before OS loaded. Everything worked fine. Now it...

Re: 002 driver hang

Hi,

Thanks again for the response. If I power on the 002 before Windows boot, the 1394 LED usually flashes until I load PT, then it goes solid. If the 1394 LED fails to flash, Windows hangs on...
