Re: Thinking of upgrading to HD from LE. Advice?

Alan,
Once again, thank you. You continue to impress me with your knowledge. Where would be the best place to purchase the HEDD 192 A/D D/A converter? I'll go ahead and upgrade, as that seems to...

Re: Thinking of upgrading to HD from LE. Advice?

Rail,
Thank you so much for your advice. As I read your response, it verified my own concerns. I'm not as educated as I need to be for making such a decision. RTAS are CPU related plug-ins...

Thinking of upgrading to HD from LE. Advice?

I know this is the place to ask, with all the help I've gotten in the past. With LE, I run out of CPU power when using larger effects such as Amplitube or T-racks. On the davec test, I was able to...

Re: Moving up to HD from LE ~ Advice? Help?

Thanks to all that responded to my post. I have had excellent results from my XP 3000 unit, but as I was discussing the system with a couple of people, they felt that the G5 would be a better fit...

Re: Pro Tools LE Vs. HD

Eugene,
I'm in the same boat. We've been very busy with our 002, and have been very satisfied with the final product in the last nine albums we've done. (since June this year!) But I'm looking for...

Moving up to HD from LE ~ Advice? Help?

As a windows user of PTLE, I've been fairly satisfied, but my studio has grown over the past year and I need more power. I've talked to several people at Digidesign and also to a local dealer about...

Ruben,
You bring up an excellent point. Our room is a large room outside of our isolation room. It actually opens up into a living area. We have not enclosed the booth yet and plan on doing so...

mastering question

As I'm sitting here mastering a metal band, we're noticing that we get a somewhat muddy mix when we burn a cd and head to any stereo to review it. We are using the T-Racks full version to master....

Re: 4th power harness in less than a year!&?%$@

Matt,
Are you using a Furman power conditioner? Tech support says this could be a problem. Digi just sent me a new 002, and it's working fine. But with my luck it will work for 91 days and go...

Re: 4th power harness in less than a year!&?%$@

No I'm not overclocking. I read about it on the DUC, but when I put my machine together, it ran so well, that I just left it alone. 32 tracks with multiple effects works fine(although slows...

Re: 4th power harness in less than a year!&?%$@

4th power harness in less than a year!&?%$@

I'll try to work on it tonight. I haven't had time to get into the machine. I think we figured out the screeching though.

Thanks!

When you were having the problem, would it only happen when you were utilizing T-Racks by bringing it in to your session? Mine will kick in when I'm doing a number of things, but I always use...

Re: Squealing with 002

JMS,
Thanks, I won't use T-Racks tomorrow and see what happens. I use T-Racks a lot, so it may be the problem. I'll search the DUC on that one.

Take care-

~Dave
