So why is this so messed up? Does Avid find it acceptable if one of their plugs cannot process audio with a consistent offset? Sound Toys'Pure Pitch TDM was rock solid in its offset for years...

Yes, with the UAD card, through RTAS, they are impossible to use while tracking.

However, as I said in an earlier post, I still am using the now discontinued UAD TDM 1176 plug, with it's wonderful...

What UAD needs to do is to code their plugs for AAX native. There are still a lot of us that like to track and overdub using plugs. The latency of the UAD card makes this impossible.
