Correct, although Cubase/Nuendo do have a 256 input restriction.
I recorded 588 inputs with 3 x RME MADI FX PCIe (9 MADI feeds) using the ASIO driver on Reaper. Works great.

A bit late with the reply, but you don't need another Win7 copy to test it. You can run it for 30 days without any restrictions, after 30 days the desktop goes black and you cannot update certain...
