For all those still waiting on Native-Instruments to get Absynth2 RTAS ready (they keep delaying it it seems), you can use it NOW along with any other VSTi, using Plogue Bidule in rewire mode into...

Re: Can you run your computers sound thru the 002?

If you are in OSX, go to finder, applications, utilities, audio/midi, click the audio tab and in there you set if the system sounds go thru the internal sound card or an external one (when connected).

Filter Freaks plug in...money well spent?

I just picked up this plug a few days ago, expecting to be blown away as anything I've bought from the makers of Pitchblender. (their new 'soundtoys' division)

Well thus far I'm not overly...

Re: Surprising results of a microphone comparison

It just goes to show you that mics are like fingerprints, they are all different. Some fit some voices better than others. There are many more that praise the U87 than not. Of course, the pre...

Re: Eventide H949 plugin

I have the plug; it's got a few uses but in no way blows me away. For the most part useless to me.

Now, Soundblender is another story !! images/icons/cool.gif

Re: Everything gets better untill I start recording Vox

Well that's a wide open question:) what does the song call for? Dry is dry so doubling or a delay sometimes does the trick. I never use a big reverb or hall on vocals unless I'm using it for a...

Re: Using 2 Compressors in the VOX chain

I'd reverse that for most cases myself, but that's just me. The LA2A is the preferred vocal comp in most cases and the distressor would just add some fuzzy goodness.

Re: Everything gets better untill I start recording Vox

Of course it could be many things and good suggestions thus far.

Keep in mind, the vocal is the highlight of virtually every pop/rock/hip hop/country song ever made.

You may have already tried this, but I only use auto tune usually as AudioSuite plug and just fix the very offending notes...leave the rest natural.
