Yeah, that's why I was thinking that swapping out some of the bigger components from the old board (e.g. fader socket, LCD socket) might actually be easier. I'll have a talk to a friend who can do...

The new board came as a freebie, hence not looking for the part itself.

I have a 002 (desk) with fried firewire connections. On running Protools the "unable to locate digidesign hardware" error message appears.

Today I purchased a replacement 002 (rack) firewire card....
