Re: ...PT soft on laptop...alternative?

I've got no suggestion, but I was just about to post a similar question so I'll just hijack your post instead.

So what other program does anyone use since PT isn't portable?

I have used PT...

Re: Emagic don\'t care about their High End users

I think it's obvious the money's not in the high end for anyone. Look at the HD system. It screams "demo studio". No meters, hidden alignment pots, looks like a cheap boom box.

Re: Pro Tools + Reaktor =Joy or Pain?

I know your pain. I have complete faith that Reaktor 3 will solve all my problems and the sun will shine brighter. Why would OS 9 make it better? I'm afraid of OS 9.

Re: IDE/ATA Chained with SCSI Ultra

Hey,

You can't connect these normally, they are 2 completely different things. I have seen a converter that supposedly works well, but seeing how it is using some sort of magic voodoo I would put...

Re: AHA-2940UW + fun

Hey,

You're asking for trouble as far as I know. The way you have it is great. Even better might be to put the 2 gig on the internal Mac bus or the int. 2940. Or maybe not ...

Re: 5.1 upgrade - pay more than the weak?

Hey,

Yeah it's hard not to come off pissy in a text message, sarcasm and such doesn't really work, hence the "smilies".

I agree it's not really the money, it's just kind of annoying sometimes. ...

Re: 5.1 upgrade - pay more than the weak?

Hey Zealous,

I really hate when people, companies that write stupidly overpriced plug-ins, etc. using the argument "don't you make a lot of money at this? You can afford to pay too much."

My...

Re: Need to either speed up PTP 200 or go back to 8.6.1

Hey

Some people call 8.6 with the "font managerupdate" extension 8.6.1. YOU NEED the FMU if you run 8.6.
I think 8.6 is hard to find because Apple was giving th 8.6 update away as a free...

Re: Carpel Tunnel & mouse vs trackball

I have to vote for the Logitech Trackman Marble. I've been using them for years. I've got 5 or 6 of them. I think trackballs are much faster and more comfortable.
My arm would still start to...

Re: PCI Project as IO for PT III

My old PT III i/o card had "project" silkscreened right on it. Looked exactly like the project card I traded in except it had a farm card to go with it. Hook it up and try it. If you don't have a...

Re: To all the QuicKeys users...

Quickeys is crucial. I have half the keyboard remapped!

While this makes me much faster, this causes 2 problems. If I work on another rig I have to install QK's or my keysets or suffer! People...

Re: What\'s going to happen when OSX is released?

Hey,

Why don't you guys just skip 9.0 and start working on OSX? No one really needs 9.0 compatibility anyway http://www.digidesign.com/ubb/images/icons/wink.gif.

Thanks, I'll take my answer...

Re: What am I doing here?

Re: Anyone check out the Bombfactory Classic Compressors yet?

Hey,

I have to agree with Disco the pricing is "ridiculous", but it seems like a lot of plug-ins are priced this way. I think we get punished for being PT users. Maybe they think "hey those...

Re: 2,4,6,8x,CD burning question
