no, protools, itself is installed on the c (system) drive but the session files are on a seperate d drive.

i checked through the newegg reviews on the board. one guy had probs with the board recognizing any of his 5 drives. turns out the board was defective.

i'm using the vantec round premium ata 133 cable. the ends are labelled master and slave but either place i put the hdd (master or cable select jumpers) it shows up as primary slave in...

i know you can change the auto detect in the bios to user define. to do that i would have find the specs online for each drive (not a super big deal) but i was hoping it was something easier than...
