Re: New music

Charlie ... I'm with you man. I really like the songs as instrumentals, and I think they can really play. Thank you for the kind words.

Re: New music

Thanks for the kind words, Chris. The more I have listened to "Summertime" and "Wait a Minute" I think I need to bring his lead vocal up a bit (just a db or so). I also have come to think that I...

Re: New music

Hey there everyone ... long time no post! It is summertime, and I am running up and down the east coast like a madman, but back in town long enough to work on this 4 song project for a local folk...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

Roy: really enjoyed "Lovers". It seems to me that your productions are getting nicer and nicer. The guitars have such an interesting texture that supports the entire song. Tasteful use of stereo...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

Roy and Tim ... listening to "Coming Home" and whoa ... very very nice indeed! Tim, you programmed those drums? Very natural feel to the groove: not overly mechanical as my drum programming often...

Re: new Overnight Lows

Finally back up and fully networked. Here's the other 3 songs that we ran that session. Again, these are merely preliminary takes for a demo. One of the guitars changes to bass in songs 3 and 4,...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

Hey everyone, just a little problem with my NIC on my production computer. I haven't been able to connect since yesterday evening, but I do have the files ready to go. I am running out to grab a...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

This is truly not what I would typically do to track acoustics: I normally use two SDC -- one on the neck, tilted toward the soundhole, and the other over the guitarist's strumming shoulder somewhere...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

Thanks Charlie and Joel! These are just preliminary tracks, so I wasn't overly worried about getting all the levels "just right" yet. These guys are folk jammers, so I am not planning on using much...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

Thanks for your input Wicked, but they are a folk jam band. I am sure that the song is going to take on an entirely different feel once they add their vocals. They are doing this as a demo, and...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

Here's the newest project I'm working on; they are a folk group called Coup de Grass. They laid down the bed tracks for a 4 song demo tonight, and I really like them so far. Here is what they are...

Re: Solo CD

Hiya Roy. For live/location recording, I run a 24 channel snake from the stage into 3 DigiMax48, then from the DigiMax analog out to the FOH board and the ADAT out to an Alesis HD24. I used the...

Re: Solo CD

Hello everyone, I am working on mixing a live show that I recorded for a regional act back in February. I am nearing the end, and need to have some opinions on the sound that I am getting ready to...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

Well ... these couple are definately NOT some of my latest stuff, but I did recently find a box that had some old 4-track cassettes that my buddies and I did a little over 11 years ago. It was fun...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

LOL Roy ... '99 Barrels of Beer' could have the theme of taking out the trash the next day! It was a lot of fun with my two best friends, and your kind comments are much appreciated. Dave (the...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

LOL ... yeah, I have an entirely "silent" setup for jamming purposes: I run the guitar through the GT-6, bass through the GT-6B, and put the drummer on my V-Drums. I slam all those signals through a...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

OK ... I haven't posted anything here before although I have projects that are nearly done that I will share, but this was a little gem that I re-discovered recently that made me smile. My old band...
