Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

No problem Scott. Keep in mind that my suggestions are merely that, suggestions and nothing more, based solely on first impressions while I listen to a tune. What I really wanted to emphasize about...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

Bob, a good rule of thumb when dialing in your rough mix is to cut out a substantial amount of bass on any tracks that are panned pretty wide (start w/ a high pass somewhere b/w 250 and 350 Hz). If...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

JR, you'd slowly (over the course of the note) raise the prefader send to verb while simultaneously slowly lowering the track fader (over the course of the note). This will have the effect of making...

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

Okay...just took some spare time to give a listen to a bunch of the recent ones:

Mike/Fredsparky,

Re 'July'...still sounds good man. I think you may want to lighten up a tad on the level...

Re: Latest Stuff...

Fred,

Nice concept there in July. I used to also have a 62 Rocket. She was a feedback beast, hell to keep in anything remotely resembling tuned, and a right biatch to try and play well. It had...

Re: Solo CD

I've got about a dozen of them now of all kinds of varieties. I once came across a cache of very large bamboo that was driving the owner of a baseball park nuts...so I took care of the problem for...

Re: Let\'s Hear Your Latest

It's my favorite for Jazz...aamof...I don't think I've ever used it for rock. I don't really have a favorite for rock, just a few go-to methods. I usually wind up using a similar setup but ORTF...

Re: Let\'s Hear Your Latest

Gene,

Thanks. My approach to this was pretty much the same as it's always been...try to get as natural a sound from each instrument as possible. The only exceptions to this come from the fact...

Re: Let\'s Hear Your Latest

Digging around today trying to fix things with WMP, I managed to dig up an old session that I had abandoned when I lost my "day gig". I'd left it entirely in the hands of the head engineer...
