Hold Ctrl while you click on the green numbers underneath the I/O - it will bring up a little fader where that you can adjust without having to pull up a fader window. (More like what Logic has set...

SOLVED -
Same thing happened to me and this worked. Pro Tools playback engine was confused and defaulted to "Instant On Sound Effects"? (smh) - I just created a New session, went into...
