Afraid I have to tell you, that the hand youre having is not very good at this pokertable.
In the last years not many HP´s have worked with PT.
The only victoryreports I´ve read were with PT7.

I can´t move files inside the Workspace- or Volume- or Project-window to another folder. I also cant drag and drop to timeline from those windows. Files can be selected and played but not...

"-" works over here, so does strg+alt+w. Start modifier sometimes opens windows start.
The Zoomtoggle I understand as the old start+E command which has now a botton and remenbers a few...

Yes it is known and old and simple and mean. In Wavelab driverselection you have to hold the click on the DigiAsioDriver for a few seconds.

What Mala said is what I read too. The beginning of a disc is the outer edge and thats where it has the fastest data-access because of those geometrical reasons. True that half a spin to get there...

Did you use the TC/E-trimmer tool?
Its done just as you timetrim audio. Midi track has to be showing regions.

Google doesn´t really help on the DUC. But you can find real treasures using the DUC-search (http://duc.digidesign.com/search.php?Cat=) . Also linked on top of every DUC-page.

You can also use the TC/E tool on the midi region to get that midi back on beat.

I am sorry man.
Thats frustrating. But at least your not getting a BufferError, which was to be expected first, before stuttering audio.
That makes it look like PT7 will be recording fine -once...
