16GB is considered bare minimum, 32GB will surely help you running PT more smoothly

What got me scared with this is 2019.5 works fine but 2019.6 does not. And it was only a small bugfix release. What you found out practically means there might be some other random things gone wrong...

Apple doesn't make it easy. You need to save that installer after download, before install. Because after successful install the installer deletes itself.

You don't need any. Drivers are needed for HDX/HDN that you need to connect the interfaces

Sometimes Force Quit is grayed out on dock, in which case you open Activity Monitor and kill it there.

Yep.

MOSTLY OSX/macOS dot-releases are just bugfixes. One point release here and there usually doesn't matter.

Obviously there are exceptions, like the ancient Panther which gave us huge change...

I haven't seen this here. Can you restore your data by import session? If you don't, then perhaps the session file is corrupted.

Whatever he means you need either HDN (64 i/o max) or HDX (64 i/o per card) to get past the 32 i/o limit

Why? Cheesegrater on its side means motherboard is on its natural orientation which also means cpu heat naturally rises up and the cpu fan also should run with less mechanical stress.

I wouldn't worry about it. In my 2013 trashcan Apple for some reason used heatsinked ssd's but any other brand I've used have omitted the heatsink and performed flawlessly.

I have no idea what...

Yea, the license is just the same as the original one.

What has changed in 2019.6 is the requirement that HEAT license and HD/Ultimate license are on the same iLok. This was just a thing waiting...

I know, right.. few months ago I was seeing random kernel panics but it appears I had a fuse going bad and don't have UPS here... it all sorted itself out when the fuse eventually needed to be...

Yet the most important mobility-feature is not implemented in the TB box firmware, it still requires an interface connected at all times.

One would think (and hope) that when the box has HP out it...
