...or you haven't disabled the local control on the MIDI device. With my Yamaha EX5 Keyboard if I dont disable local control, I have a similiar problem.

I won't be mic'ing any audio from the GNX2.

I will be sending the results back out s/pdif into the DIGI001.

The Digitech's VOX AC-30 amp model is only reason I dare venture beyond the comforts...

Yeah, uh... thanks dave, but Im looking for recording tips not a fellow home recording enthuesiest's website.

The only TRUE input on the GNX2 is for an electric guitar to be ran directly into it....

Yeah the 'Headphone Half-Off' method is the how I usually track vocals. This is what I am dreading.

Since the plug-ins work in ProTools, not the hardware, it shouldnt be a problem. Whether or not it reaches 96K depends on the plug-in...
