This does seem to solve the problem of PT not having sound when you first start the program. The downside is I can't use my Mbox 2 Pro as my computers sound card, unless I want to change the windows...

Just as an FYI. My system was working with PT8.0.1 and IE8 just fine.

I installed 8.0.3 and I had to move 2 plugins to the unused folder to get ProTools to start.

The FW port is a 6 pin and it is directly on the Mother Board (ASUS P5Q Deluxe). I tried a different 6 pin cable and had the same problem.

+1 , I have the same problem quite often. I have seen this same problem posted a couple of times, it seem to be a known bug, it would be nice if Digi could find the problem and provide a fix.

FYI, I uninstalled everything and did a fresh install of PTLE V8 and it works fine now. Maybe it was a problem because I originally installed PTLE 7.4 then upgraded to PTLE V8?

Still having the same problem with the Digi Click track. So for now I'm using the TL Metro plugin for a click track.

You will need to backup your data because when you go from Dynamic to Basic the drive will be formatted and all info will be lost.
