Using Different Sampling Rates

I'm trying to figure this one out.

If in either PTLE/Logic (they both use the Coreaudio),
I have a finished mix in the computer at 48k,
and i wanna send it out into analog,
then A/D it back...

the a/d converters on 001 are only of a certain quality.
many of us talk about the lack of 'warmth' in the digital world, and how 'analog' synths are much 'warmer' than softsynths, or even analog...

I was in the same boat.
Was using awesome NTK with only digi001 and mackie vlz1202. going into 001 direct vs mackie was very minimal. then i got voicemaster pro and that was a world of difference

Now, how did you get all of your tracks onto the computer?? Was it through the A/D converters on the 001?? If so, how would the final mix suffer much from so called bad converters if the original...
