Unfortunately, the source was actually from within Avid. They priced the original crossgrade to HD Native too low and they haven't had the sales of HDX they'd expected. Hopefully they'll change...

Yes-i thought about the Mbox ebay route. But, it looks tricky to transfer (as in you can't, once it's been registered). I have to research more on that.
