hi

i have my imac setup so i have a music a office account.

on the office i'd like the hard-drive's to go to sleep and the screen saver to come on when needed... and obviously all of this...

i was in same boat as you... but i upped my system to 2gb and bought myself an external HDD and never looked back... now its rock solid and runs very smooth

A:well part of it is because i have 2 users, music and office, and i cant see iTunes lib. in my office account so i thought by making a partition i'll always see the library in...

Ofc i do have an internal drive. my system drive is the standard 250gb/7200rpm that came in the iMac.

i meant to say since it is an iMac and not a mac pro or similar,so theres no space...

Yeah we are talking ram.... will pick up 2gb from Corsair (just released the MacMemory line) about the drive i have to convince the...

wheels,

well funny thing is that since i have upgraded to 7.3 PT actually worked more stable...


Interesting test they made on e-shop with the ram, where you see better performance with 2x1gb...

well i do run a lot of V.I.'s so i guess maxing out my ram would be the way forward then...

the question was simply that when you have 2 different sizes of ram blocks you will...

2GB DDR2 or 3GB DDR ?

HI all

is it better to go for 3GB ram on a iMac Core2Duo and ditch the ddr2 (since i would have to get a 1gb and a 2gb block) or just get two matched 1gb and have DDR2...

whats the better...
