I'm having this exact same problem and the above solution didn't work for me. I'm running MAC OSX 10.6.7 and using a macbook pro.

Thanks for your reply.

I use a click track when recording so I can add other guitar parts to it later when I overdub. In this case what would be the best option. ie. the direct, undelayed,...

Hello,

I'm having a similar problem. I'm using PT 8 LE and there is no "low latency" in options. Also I set in Playback engine the H/W buffer size to be 64 Samples (it's the lowest it can go to)...
