The DMU will need both LTC and video reference.

If your session is running at 23.98 then the DMU needs NTSC (29.97) ref. If the session is 24 fps then the DMU needs PAL (25) ref.

We use a Neyrinck plug-in to create a SMPTE-ordered file which is what a DP600...

The Dolby DMU can also measure Leq(m) so if you are mastering at your facility the Dolby Consultant should be equipped to make the measurement for you.

A cool feature of Neyrinck's software is that it let's you 'punch' an AC3 file, very useful if you need to fix a short section of a longer mix!

In DTS the LFe channel is rolled off at 80 Hz, for Dolby Digital it's 120.

You have to work the LFe harder to get the same energy for a DTS playback!

Your mix may well sound different...
